The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has said that small sample of travellers arriving in Hamad International Airport (HIA) will be subjected to receive random tests against Covid-19, which will be administered free of cost, upon their arrival to the country.

MoPH said: “As part of Qatar's comprehensive measures to protect the health and safety of travellers and the community, the Ministry of Public Health, through its medical teams in Hamad International Airport is conducting random COVID-19 tests on a small sample of travellers arriving into Qatar.”

Any traveler may be included to take part in the random testing.
The random sampling is in addition to the mandatory pre-travel PCR test requirement.
If you are selected to be part of the random sample, you will be notified by the medical teams once inside the terminal.
Medical teams will then ask you to take a PCR test.
This test is free of charge and should only take a few minutes.
You will then be free to continue your passage into Qatar and your Ehteraz status will remain green while the PCR test result is processed.
You will be notified by SMS of the PCR test result within 24 hours.
Travellers testing positive on PCR test will be notified about the required actions they must take.
