MoI books 308 individuals for violating Covid protocols

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials booked 308 people in the country for violating preventive and precautionary measures that were enforced in order to curb the further spread of novel coronavirus (Covid-19). 
 
Among the booked 308 individuals, 266 people were booked for not wearing face masks in the public, 40 were booked for not following social and safe distances, two individuals were booked for not installing Ehteraz application on their mobile phones.
 
All of the individuals that violated Covid-19 preventive measures were referred to the public prosecution. 
 
The measures are in accordance with the Cabinet decision and Decree Law No. 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures imposed in the region to limit the rapid spreading deadly disease.
 
The competent authorities urged all the citizens and residents to follow all the preventive measures kept in place to make sure their safety and the safety of other individuals in the country are assured.
