The Qatar National Day 2018 festivals will commence Wednesday at Darb Al Saai in "a climate accused of feelings of enthusiasm, pride and national personality", the coordinators have said. 

This year, the National Day festivities are being held under the maxim 'As long as it is demonstrated by our deeds ... Qatar stays free'. The proverb mixes a refrain taken from one of the lyrics by the Founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani, with an expression from the National Anthem. 

The occasions at Darb Al Saai, the prime scene of the Qatar National Day festivities, are set to start promptly after the official opening service.
