Neymar was no stranger to controversy, but when he was playing for Santos, he received a red card "as a joke". Faced with Chilean team Colo Colo in the Copa Libertadores match, the 19-year-old striker then made a wonderful solo goal to score his team 3-0 lead.

Then he celebrated in a slightly unusual way. Having been given a mask by a fan, Neymar immediately put on the mask. For some reason, the referee decided this behavior violated the rules and pulled a second yellow card to send Neymar off the pitch.
After the match, Santos coach Marcelo did not seem to sympathize with Neymar, saying he was kicked out for not knowing the rules, but said it was very emotional.
