Narito ang mga gabay sa bagong application process sa pag-apply sa Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP).

Papaano at sino ang maaaring mag-apply ng Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)?

Tandaan ang application period ay magsisimula sa 15 JUNE 2020 hanggang 15 AUGUST 2020 lamang. Maaari itong ipasa online sa owwancr.edsp@gmail.com o ipadala sa opisina ng OWWA NCR, 2nd Flr., STWLPC Bldg., Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Pasay City sa pamamagitan ng Express delivery or Courier Services.

OWWA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM for OFW BENEFICIARIES

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) provides the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) or their beneficiaries, the opportunity to acquire vocational, technical or specialized skills through this program. It provides free tuition fee and monthly stipend for the trainees.

Sino ang mga dapat mag-apply?

• Legal dependent of an active OWWA member - OFW

• Para sa Grade 12 - must have at least 80% GWA and belongs to the upper 20% of graduating class (based on Grade 11 grades)

• Para sa 2nd - 5th year currently enrolled in college - with 85% GWA or its equivalent rating without failing grades.

Anong mga dokumento ang isusumite?

• Application form 

• 2 copies 2x2 ID picture

• Proof of OWWA Membership

• Official Receipt of OWWA Contribution

• OFW Membership Record

• Proof of Relationship to OFW

• Birth Certificate (issued by PSA) of applicant, if child of OFW

• Birth Certificate (issued by PSA) of both applicant & OFW (if brother/sister of OFW)

• Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) from PSA (if OFW is unmarried)

Certified True Copy of Grades/Transcript of Records

• Form 2 A. Certificate of Good Moral Character

• Form 2 B. Principal's Certification

PROCEDURES

1. I-download ang Application Form na makikita sa OWWA NCR Official Facebook Account at kumpletuhin ang impormasyong kailangan kasama ang mga dokumentong kinakailangan

2/ Isumite ang dokumento sa e-mail address: owwancr.edsp@gmail.com o ipadala sa opisina ng OWWA NCR, 2nd floor, STWLPC Bldg., Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Pasay City sa pamamagitan ng Express Delivery or Courier Services.

3. Hintayin ang e-mail o tawag ng RWO-NCR para sa resulta ng aplikasyon.

Paalala: Ang pagkuha ng Membership Record o Application Form ay libre o walang bayad.

Requirements:

Scholarship for Dependents 

a) Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) – Scholarships for qualified dependents of OFWs consisting of a maximum of Php 60,000.00 per school year, leading to a four-to-five year baccalaureate course in any college or university.

Here are the other educational programs of OWWA:

b) OFW Dependents Scholarship Program (OFWDSP) – Scholarships consisting of a maximum of Php 20,000.00 assistance per school year leading to a baccalaureate or associate degree in a state college or university. OFW parents must have a monthly salary of not more than US$400.00.

c) Education and Livelihood Assistance Program (ELAP) – Scholarships for survivors of deceased OFWs consisting of Php 5,000.00 for elementary, Php 8,000.00 for high school, Php 10,000.00 for college (per school year) and livelihood assistance of Php 15,000.00 for the surviving spouse.

Short-Term Training Programs for OFWs and Dependents

a) Skills-for-Employment Scholarship Program (SESP) – Scholarships for attendance to short-term training program consisting of a maximum of Php 14,500.00 per course leading to the completion of a vocational or technical course in any school accredited by TESDA.

b) Information Technology Program – An Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills training the purpose of which is to bridge the communication gap through the use of internet between the OFW and his/her family. Through this program, they learn how to use basic applications like Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
