About The Restaurant

A Lebanese legend comes to Doha

Without question the finest Lebanese restaurant in the city, Al Sultan brahim at The St. Regis Doha is also one of the most remarkable restaurants in Doha.

It is the fish which made Al Sultan brahim legendary, but other favorites known by connoisseurs throughout the Middle East include hot and cold mezzes, fatoush, taboule and a sensational Octopus a la Provençal.

In addition to a truly exceptional Lebanese menu, Al Sultan brahim features a seductive selection of Arak and Lebanese wines and, after the appetite has been satisfied, guests and visitors are invited to retire to the terrace overlooking the pool, take a delicious Shisha water pipe and contemplate whatever they wish.

A Private dining room is available and can accommodate between 8 - 10 people. To request a Private Dining Room, it is recommended to be booked in advance at the rate of QAR 750 as a reservation charge excluding food and beverages.

The restaurant has marketed itself as "the best Lebanese restaurant in Doha". A bold statement you may say, but actually judging from our experience last night we believe it to be true. It really is something special. We decided to dine with some Lebanese friends as no one knows Lebanese food like nationals themselves. We sat outside which was truly stunning - a great view of the pool and hotel. The food was glorious - we had various mezze from hummus, crab salad, tabouleh, fattoush all of which were fresh, tasty and delicious.

In true Arabic style, we then paused for the food to go down and enjoyed the shisha on offer. A great experience for anyone new to these parts of the world. For main course, we each chose our fish from the fish market. From a lobster tank to fresh hammour - there was something for everyone. The seafood was truly wonderful - fresh, soft and flavoursome. The rice we ordered to accompany the fish was probably the best rice we have ever had. Words cannot describe how scrumptious it was.

The service should also be mentioned as the restaurant staff looked after our every needs. From drinks, to explaining the menu to recommending dishes - they were friendly, informative and efficient.

From our experience, Al Sultan Brahim is not just a restaurant for Lebanese, it is a restaurant for anyone who appreciates good food and memorable experiences.

When they claimed to be the "best Lebanese restaurant in Doha" they really were right!
