Chingari

 ‘Chingari’, means ‘the sound of the cracking of charcoal’ in a traditional oven used in Indian cooking’. It's safe to say, Chingari is one of the most popular Indian restaurants here in Doha. Housed in the Ramada Plaza Hotel, the restaurant has both a traditional feel as well as personal charm. With colorful paintings on the wall of Indian scenes, a small water feature and authentically styled décor, it’s no wonder people come here for a taste of India! The food is simply excellent – authentically cooked, well spiced and generous in portion. The ambience is fantastic – with a live Ghazal music band playing every night, it really sets the tone of India and enhances ones dining experience. The waiting staff are efficient, though on weekends when it gets busy they appear flustered and it can seem a little chaotic– make sure your not in a rush if there's a big group of you. The restaurant is perfect for large parties out celebrating someone’s birthday or an anniversary as they really help to make it a special and unforgettable night!
