Designed with John Jacob Astor IV, the founder of the century-old St. Regis Hotel, in mind, Astor Grill brings a new experience to Qatar’s dining scene. Rockwell Group Europe created a striking five-meter-high curving bronze sculpture resembling smoke frozen in space as an entrance to the avant-garde French restaurant. Providing a visual contrast to the geometric leather dining enclosure and organic barrel vault, the main dining area features a dimensional landscape of pine wood pieces hanging from the ceiling. The warmth of the room is highlighted by deep red leather dining chairs and a red lacquer portal frame that leads to a raised area with views of the open-grill kitchen. From this dramatic perch guests can watch as award-winning chef Roudy Petersen prepares their dishes.
