Aroma

 We were pleasantly surprised with this addition to the Doha dining scene. You may have heard of Kempinski as a brand - renowned internationally for its up market, sophistication - and the one in Doha doesn't disappoint. The restaurant, with its dark brown leather chairs and tables oozes class. The restaurant isn't too big, making the experience intimate and romantic. The attention to detail was good - the well laid utensils to the glowing candles on the table. The food is in a different class also - the quails were so beautifully cooked and the flavours out of this world. We had lamb for the main course and again the quality of the ingredients was clear. The chefs here are of an extremely high standard; the menu is not too fussy and instead offers diners food using the best ingredients Doha has to offer. With such great service and food there is a cost - and in Aroma it's a very high one. With the starters alone costing around 130 QR and wines from around 85 QR a glass, this will soon add up to being a very expensive night. They also offer an express lunch for 90 QR PP. For those that can afford it - great. But unfortunately, with such high prices, it means not everyone will be able to dine here
