Les Deux Magots

 French Cuisine. Les Deux Magots is a famous cafe in the trendy Saint-Germain area of Paris. It's been featured in numerous Hollywood movies and has, in the past, been frequented by, amongst others Ernest Hemmingway and Pablo Picasso. Getting its name from the two wooden statues of Chinese commercial agents or 'magots' that adorn one of the pillars, Les Deux Magots is a welcome addition to The Pearl-Qatar. It's stylish, classically French interior imitates it Parisian parent faultlessly. We were suitably impressed with the food, although we were really hoping for something more outrageously French, like onion soup, frogs legs or escargots. For the more discerning palette, the fois-grois was particularly delicious. We were even cooked for by the head chef of 'Les Deux Margot' in Paris, who is here at the moment overseeing the first few months of launch. Make sure you save room for a little self indulgent dessert – it wouldn’t be French without! The service may be a little over zealous, but we would rather it that way than the other.
